BBFI is a living witness to the commitment of Batch '73 of Lakandula High School in Tondo, Manila to "give back" to their alma mater, who gave them, not only the privilege of a free high school education but also the drive and inspiration to excel and succeed in life.

The scholarship is divided into two categories: a. BBFI Scholarship - in which the entire education program is funded by BBFI, and b. Private Grant - in which the entire education program is funded by a private individual or corporation.

Scholars should be indigent but deserving and qualified (those who met the selection criteria of BBFI) graduates of the public school system of the Philippines, initially from Lakan Dula High School of Tondo, Manila.

BBFI shall consider college courses in the fields of business and finance, education, engineering, tourism and hospitality management, liberal arts and humanities, computer technology, selected medical courses which is subject to approval of the board.

The scholarship covers the total cost of tuition fees and miscellaneous fees. Other financial support are subject to the approval of the board. For the privately sponsored scholarships, this shall be the discretion of the donor/s.

BBFI shall be funded out of the approved yearly budget allocation which will be based on the tuition fee structure and other school fees, number of scholars, and budget limitation.
